病気や噂の「はやる」

Hi there,

先日我が家にもインフルエンザが∑(ﾟДﾟ)

幸い他２名は感染しませんでしたが、チビに感染しないように

気を付けるの大変でした。。。みなさんもお気を付けください！

今回は、病気などの「はやる」をみてみましょ～

 

はやる（病気や噂など）= be going around

☆いい意味での「流行る」は人気があると同じ「popular」です。

では例文を見てみましょう☆

・The flu's（is） going around.

インフルエンザが流行っている。

☆流行っているものが主語（先頭）になります。

☆The fluは、influenzaインフルエンザの略語です。

・A cold's going around.

風邪が蔓延している。

☆A coldで、風邪。

 

※冠詞はインフルエンザは「the」で、風邪は「a」となります。

・A stomach cold's going aroud my child's school.

子供の学校で胃腸風邪がはやっている。

☆stomach(胃腸）coldで、「胃腸風邪」。

・A bad cold's going around at his office.

彼の会社で性質の悪い風邪がはやっている。

☆bad coldで、「悪い風邪→性質の悪い風邪」。

・A rumor's going around.

噂が広がっている。

☆rumorで、「うわさ」。

☆噂で表現するときも、主語になるのは流行っている物事。

・A rumor's going around about me.

自分についてのうわさが広がっている。

☆何についての噂か？をいう時は「about」で表現できます。

 

・Is the flu going around?

インフル流行ってる？

☆疑問文にするときは、be動詞を先頭に出すだけ。

・Is a cold going around your school?

学校で風邪はやっている？

・Is a rumor about us going around?

うちら（私たち）のうわさって広まってる？

・The flu isn't going around here.

ここはインフル流行ってないよ。

☆否定文にするときには、be動詞にnotをつけるだけ。

 

・A bad sick isn't going around anymore.

もう性質の悪い病気は、はやってないよ。

☆bad sick（病気）で、「悪い病気」。

☆anymoreで、「これ以上→もう」。

・The rumor isn't going around at all.

全然、そのうわさなんて知らないよ（広がっていないよ）。

☆not at all で、「全く～ない」。

 

・What kind of rumor's going around?

どんな噂がはやっているの？

 

・Do you know the rumor about the next organization?

次の人事のうわさ、知ってる？

☆organizationは、「組織」、the next organizationで

「次の組織→日本語で表現している＜人事＞」。

・What kind of flu's going around this year?

今年は、どのインフルが流行っているの？

・Do you believe the rumor's going around now?

今広がっている噂を信じる？

☆do you believe～？で、「～を信じる？」
