「開催する」は hold.

先日は息子が通う保育園でバザーがありました～

今年もチビはおもちゃを色々ゲット～！

ありがたや、ありがたや(^∇^)

今回は「催す（開催する）」

催す（開催する）= hold

手に持つ・状態を保つの「hold」と同じ単語です！

では例文をみていきましょ～

・I hold a birthday party.

誕生会を催す。

開催する人や団体が主語になります。

・I hold a meeting today.

今日ミーティングを催す。

・She held a concert.

コンサートを開催した。

☆過去形は「held」。

・They will hold their wedding reception in October.

結婚式を10月に行う（催す）。

・We don't hold the festivel this year.

今年の祭りは中止。

・The shop holds the closing-out sale everytime.

いつも閉店セールしてるよね。

☆closing-out saleで「閉店セール」

・Do you hold a summer sale?

夏のセールする？

・When do you hold a summer sale?

いつ夏のセールする？

☆Whenをつければ時期を聞けますね。

冒頭に出た「バザー」は保護者会が開催したので

こうなります！

The parent's association held the bazaar the other day.

先日　保護者会がバザーを開催した。

☆parent's associationで「保護者会」

the other dayで「先日」。
